My New Life

Being a mother....

O.K. ...So I haven't posted for awhile. You all know how that is. Life gets crazy sometimes, but I feel at this time of the year when I am thinking about mother's and Mother's Day, I just need to say something.

I am soooo incredibly grateful to be a mother. There is nothing in this life that brings me more joy than that of Motherhood. I know it is hard sometimes, but the joys far out way the struggles. Ben helped the kids write a little Mother's Day poem for me yesterday. It just talked about the little things that I do over and over everyday and how they were thankful for that. I am thankful for those little things that I have the opportunity to do. The other day I had the stomach flu and stayed in bed all day while Ben took care of everything. I guess aside from being sick it was nice to not have to worry about anything for a couple of hours, but after that I was sick of laying around and just watching T.V. I missed my kiddos. I missed helping them. I missed hugging them. I know it was just one day, but it made me so grateful to be a Mommy. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for this gift He has given to me.

Oh Molly!

So the other day I was folding laundry and I put the kids sheets on the couch while I folded their clothes. Molly thought that it looked comfy and climbed on. I took them out from under her because I didn't want the sheets to smell like dog. I put them in the bassinet so she wouldn't lay on them. I little while later Ben came home for lunch and saw Molly pop her little head out of the bassinet. I came in to see what he was laughing at and this is what I saw.

Baby Micah is here!!

Yeah! Baby Micah Joseph Bailey was born Dec. 12. He was 7 lb. 6 oz. and 20 in. I will get some photos up soon! He is such a heaven-sent joy and we are loving having him be a part of our family!

I know I haven't posted for a vveerryy long time, but these are our "cowboy" pics from our family trip this past summer.

Kindergarten!

Wow! Emma is in Kindergarten. I can't believe she is so big already! (I have a pic of her in her cute school uniform, but I haven't uploaded it to my computer yet.) She is going to Freedom Academy (a charter school) and so far she is really loving it. She has already learned more in one week than she learned the whole year in pre-school and she has a new best friend everyday. Fun, fun!

We're expecting!

I think that most of you know that look at this blog, but we are expecting number 3. Actually, I am already 21 weeks along. We had the ultrasound last week and it's another boy! He is looking healthy and growing well. We are all very excited!

I know I haven't posted in a long while and this may be old news, but I am still going to put it up because we had such a fun time, especially Emma. She was so darn cute at the game.

chapstick

The other day Gavin was playing with my chapstick while I was doing my makeup. The chapstick he was playing with was white. He twisted the chapstick all the way up and said, "Look mom, a temple!" Too darn cute!
